From 15 to 18 May thousands of children participated in the youth-walking-event in Gouda. This version was extra special for the Kamphuisen syrup waffle factory, because we sponsored this year’s sporting event!

And with success! After the event we received a lot of nice reactions from parents, children and the organization of the evening four-day event:

More than 4000 syrup waffles
Every evening the children walked about 5 kilometres through the beautiful Gouda. But of course you will get hungry after a lot of walking! On Thursday evening, May 17 it was up to Kamphuisen syrup waffles to get started. That evening, from our bakery stand, we distributed no less than 4,000 syrup waffles to all runners, parents, supervisors and volunteers, together with Banketbakkerij de Vlaam, 24 hours Service BV and volunteers.

 With a discount to the syrup waffle experience
After that delicious treat on Thursday evening, the participants awaited another surprise on Friday. During the entry on Friday, May 19, we distributed a lot of festive flags. Not just flags, but flags that give the participants of the event a discount on entrance tickets for the syrup waffle factory. This way they can discover for themselves how it is possible that our syrup waffles are still so delicious!
